Taser Death: Larry Rubio (Leemore, CA)

The Tachi Yokut Indians have inhabited the San Joaquin valley for centuries. In 1934, the Santa Rosa Rancheria was established on about 40 acres of desolate farmland in Lemoore, California. The reservation is famous because of to the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino.

Today the reservation is infamous because Santa Rosa Rancheria tribal security officers in Leemore, CA electrocuted a man to death with their taser gun. [SOURCE]

20-year old Larry Rubio found himself roaming the streets unarmed, naked and alone. Within a few minutes the unidentified tribal security officers had already used both a Taser and pepper spray and were trying to handcuff the man.

After he was in handcuffs, Rubio passed out and stopped breathing. Deputies administered CPR and called for emergency medical help. He was pronounced dead at Hanford Community Medical Center at 1:49 a.m.




An autopsy will be done today. The case is still under investigation.
